Terms & conditions
Updated 10 October 2026
About the game. Oh, Lexy! is a free browser game operated by Bianca Marinescu under the MazeLabs brand at themazelabs.com. MazeLabs is a brand, not a registered company. Contact: info@themazelabs.com. These terms govern your use of this game.
Who can play. You must be at least 13 to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, ask a parent or guardian to review these terms with you and permit your use. Do not provide another person's personal information. If we learn that a player is under 13, we will take appropriate steps to remove their personal records.
Playing and progress. Scores measure individual runs; XP, Levels and outfit discoveries record progress. They have no monetary value and do not entitle you to prizes or payments. Progress saves when a run finishes and successfully synchronizes. Guest profiles rely on browser access information. Connecting Google lets you sign in to the linked profile on another browser. Logging out does not delete saved progress. Keep your browser's access information private.
Optional public leaderboard. Use a nickname, not personal details. Joining enables automatic submission of eligible runs. Your nickname, avatar, Level, submitted best score and rank may be public. Switch leaderboard visibility off to hide your entries, or back on to show eligible scores. This setting is available in account privacy, leaderboard settings and after a run.
Fair play. Do not manipulate results, attack or disrupt the service, impersonate others, or use unlawful, abusive or discriminatory names. Invalid results may be rejected and inappropriate entries removed. We may restrict access where necessary to protect the service or other players. Contact us if you think we made a mistake.
Game content. You may play for personal enjoyment and share screenshots of your own play. This does not transfer ownership of the game's code, artwork or branding, or grant permission to sell or redistribute the game. Rights you have under applicable law remain unaffected.
Availability and updates. We may improve, change or discontinue features. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or recovery of every lost record. We will give reasonable notice of material changes when practical. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Payments and other services. There are no purchases or advertisements in this release. Any future paid or advertising features will be explained before introduction. External links, including Instagram, lead to independent services with their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes to these terms. Material changes will be dated and brought to your attention in the game. Where renewed agreement is needed, we will ask before you continue. Questions: info@themazelabs.com.
Privacy policy
Updated 10 October 2026
Who is responsible. Bianca Marinescu operates this game under the MazeLabs brand and is the data controller responsible for your personal information. MazeLabs is a brand, not a registered company. For privacy and removal requests, contact info@themazelabs.com.
Essential browser storage. A random player identifier and access key recognise this browser. Local storage, a first-party identity cookie and browser databases also hold preferences, consent choices, your local best, saved progress and runs waiting to synchronize. These are used to provide the game and its saving features. Clearing them does not delete server records and may make your old profile inaccessible. Do not send us your access key.
Google connection. If you connect Google, we store your Google account identifier, encrypted email address and the link to your game profile. We do not receive your Google password. Hashed session credentials authenticate your browser; sessions expire after 30 days or when revoked. If you replace a linked profile, both profiles retain their progress and privacy choices separately. We retain link history so support can investigate and restore an accidental replacement; restoration signs existing sessions out. Account-link and recovery records follow the profile retention policy below. To request account deletion or help with recovery, email info@themazelabs.com.
Account administration. The operator can view your game nickname, connected Google email, connection date, privacy choices and saved progress in a restricted dashboard to provide account support, investigate saving issues and manage the service. Google real names are not stored. These account records remain private and are separate from optional gameplay analytics; connecting Google does not opt you into analytics or marketing.
Account emails. When you first connect Google, we send a service email confirming the connection through Resend. Resend processes the recipient address, message content and delivery information. We keep an encrypted recipient snapshot and delivery status to avoid duplicate messages and handle failed delivery. These are service messages, not marketing subscriptions. We do not add tracking pixels to welcome emails.
Saved gameplay. We store your player identifier, nickname if set, scores, completed-run facts and validation records, XP, Levels, mission progress, outfit discoveries, Level rewards and Run Power inventory, selected avatar, lifetime totals and which announcements and gameplay tips you have already seen so these can follow your profile across browsers. This supports the game you ask us to provide. We use reasonable checks to prevent duplicate or invalid results and protect the service. These records are pseudonymous, not anonymous: activity can be linked to a player even without a real name. Game calculations do not make significant decisions about you outside the game.
Public leaderboard. Participation is optional. Your nickname, avatar, Level, best submitted score, rank and result date may be displayed to others. Choose a nickname without personal details; other people can copy public information. Access keys and detailed private progress are not published. Editing your nickname updates the same profile. Turning leaderboard visibility off hides your entries while keeping your saved progress. Your Google email is never shown on the leaderboard.
Optional gameplay analytics. If you choose “Share gameplay stats”, we collect visit and run identifiers, starts and finishes, scores, duration, game state, visual style, device category, browser family (such as Safari or Chrome), referral category, referring website domain and campaign source tag (without URL paths or query strings), and country when available. Visits and runs may be linked to your player identifier and current nickname. Consented gameplay reports can include collected items, hazard hits, routes, bonus rounds, mission XP, Levels, outfit discoveries and power-up use and rewards. We also record nickname changes while analytics is enabled, so a renamed profile remains recognisable in our private dashboard. Reports can also include tutorial steps, chapter and level identifiers, route offers and entries, reward views and outfit selections, loading and audio failures, sampled frame timing, save retries and confirmations, and the game build version. We use this to understand and improve the game. This choice starts off and is separate from accepting the terms. This preference belongs to the selected profile. You can change it under My Lexy → Edit → Account & privacy or How to play → Privacy policy; withdrawing stops future optional tracking without preventing essential saving or leaderboard use.
Reasons for processing. Essential gameplay and saving support providing the game under these terms. Optional analytics relies on your consent. Service security, error investigation and fair-play checks support our legitimate interests in operating a reliable game, subject to your rights. We may also process information to meet legal obligations or handle requests and disputes.
Hosting and external services. The game is hosted through the Sites service and Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers process requests and connection information, such as IP addresses and request headers, to deliver and protect the service. Fonts are served with the game. Resend provides transactional email delivery (see Resend’s privacy information). If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes the sign-in under its own privacy policy. Instagram is contacted when you follow its link. These providers may process data outside your country; where legally required, appropriate transfer safeguards must apply. We do not sell your personal information or use advertising trackers in this release.
Retention. Detailed optional analytics is kept for up to 12 months. Account-link, recovery, welcome-email records, profiles, saved progress and leaderboard entries are normally retained for up to three years after the last recorded activity, or removed earlier on a valid request. Short-lived technical and pending-run records have shorter limits; detailed run receipts are normally cleared after 90 days while saved totals remain. Retention reviews are handled by the operator; this is not a promise of immediate automatic deletion. Information needed for a legal obligation or a specific dispute may be retained for that purpose. Clearing browser storage does not erase server records.
Your choices and rights. You can decline or withdraw optional analytics, edit your nickname, and stop leaderboard auto-sharing. Where applicable, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Email us with the game URL and nickname, if any. We may ask for limited information to locate your records; never send passwords or access keys. We normally respond within one month and explain any permitted extension.
Children. The game is intended for ages 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Complaints and changes. You may contact us or complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, including Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner. We will date material updates to this notice and explain significant changes in the game.
